What Are Orphaned Files?
Orphaned files are any pages, images, stylesheets or other content on your server that are no longer used by your active website. These tend to accumulate over time as new versions of your website are placed over the old one. This can lead to a confusing mess of current and out-of-date content on your website. Google and other search engines may still link to this out of date content, causing security risks and potentially damage to your brand.
How Does it Work?
